A revised Shelter In Place order has been issued by the public health officer in Contra Costa County.  The order is expressly designed to be more restrictive than the prior order, and among other provisions: (1) Requires that essential businesses that continue to operate to post and implement a social distancing protocol for their facilities; and (2) Requires that essential businesses maximize work-from-home for its employees, excepting only those employees who “cannot” perform their work from home.  This more restrictive order takes effect tonight and remains in effect until May 3, 2020.  Similar revised orders have been issued by the public health officers in Alameda, Marin, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and San Francisco counties.
