Spencer Jensen is a highly qualified and uniquely-experienced associate in Newmeyer Dillion’s Newport Beach office.

Spencer previously served as a prosecutor for a Naval strike group and as a Victims' Legal Counsel while serving as a Judge Advocate in the United States Navy.  This high stakes legal experience allows Spencer to expertly navigate the waters for his clients now in the civil context.  He is an experienced trial attorney at all levels, including investigation, pre-trial matters, bench and jury trials, and appellate practice.  Spencer also served as the Staff Judge Advocate for Naval Base San Diego, one of the largest US Navy installations in the world.  In that role, Spencer served as the direct legal advisor to commanders on various legal issues, including regulatory compliance, ethics, estate planning, and environmental law.  Spencer continues to serve his country as a Judge Advocate in the Navy Reserves as an instructor at the Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island.

Currently, Spencer's background is being amplified at Newmeyer Dillion in his litigation cases, contract projects, and specialized work for the firm's Government, Land Use, and Environmental ("GLUE") Group.

While in law school at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, Spencer clerked in the Los Angeles County District Attorney Office's Gang Division, the United States Attorney's Office, and for the United States Air Force's Judge Advocate General's Corps.

Outside the office, Spencer can be found spending quality time with his wife, son, dogs, and horse.  If you can’t find him with them and the weather is fair, you can almost guarantee that he can be found at a golf course.  Spencer and his family also love to travel and are avid F1 fans.  Though he now calls Orange County his home, Spencer and his family frequent the trip up to his hometown of Los Angeles to support their Los Angeles Dodgers.
